Brothers Quentin and Stefan Turko grew up on the Outer Banks with a passion for surfing. They started TKO Outfitters to share their love of surfing with others. TKO Outfitters offers a first-class, personalized surfing experience on the Outer Banks. We offer lessons and coaching for all ages and skill levels. Each day we choose the best time and location so that you get the best waves for your lesson. All of the equipment is provided by us and we have a wide range of surfboards to choose from to match your ability. Whether you're looking to catch your first wave or are an avid surfer looking to fine tune your surfing, TKO Outfitters will take you on an unforgettable day of surfing.
Private Lesson
$125
A 90 minute, 1 on 1 personalized lesson. The first 30 minutes begin on the beach and cover basic safety, getting familiar with your equipment, how to hand your board, read the waves, paddle out, and pop up to surf. The next 60 minutes will be in the water surfing with the instructor.
Private 2-3 Person Lesson
$105 Per Person
A 90 minute lesson with 1 instructor, which will first cover 30 minutes of on the beach surfing safety training, how to handle your surfboard, reading the waves, paddle out, and pop up to surf. Then, 60 minutes in the water surfing with the instructor.
Private Group Lesson 4+ people
$90 Per Person
A 90 minute lesson with a minimum of two instructors, which will first cover 30 minutes of on the beach surfing safety training, how to handle your surfboard, reading the waves, paddle out, and pop up to surf. Then, 60 minutes in the water surfing with the instructor.
Advanced surf coaching with professional surfer Quentin Turko
Quentin has years of competitive surfing experience. He started competing in amateur contests when he was 10 and won ESA Easterns when he was 17 years old. He has gone on to surf some of the best waves around the world and compete in WSL surf contests at those waves. Whether you are looking to improve your competitive surfing strategy or work on techniques, Quentin will work with you to accomplish your goals.
